This project will partner with Al-Harah Theater, a leading Palestinian community theater, to create opportunities for emerging directors in the field of site-specific performance, an innovative platform for artistic experimentation and for audiences to engage with public spaces.
The project will consist of training workshops for directors on site-specific performances, led by a European expert, and production grants for the most talented young directors. Inter-cultural exchanges will be fostered with European theater groups performing at the Site-Specific Performance Festival, which will be organized by Al-Harah as part of celebrations of Bethlehem as the Capital of Arab Culture for 2020.
